Request Your First Appointment
Your health story is unique, and your dental care should be too.
Our comprehensive new patient exam gives our doctors time to understand your oral health, airway, bite, and overall wellness. Please allow approximately one to two hours for this appointment.
What to Expect at Your our First Visit
Before your appointment, we will send your new patient paperwork digitally by text and email. Completing it in advance allows your time in our office to remain focused on your care and conversation with our team.
Depending on your individual needs, your comprehensive evaluation may include:
- Review of your medical and dental history
- Blood pressure screening
- Comprehensive dental and periodontal evaluation
- Digital X rays and 3D CBCT imaging
- Intraoral photography
- Velscope oral cancer screening
- Evaluation of your bite, jaw joints, and facial muscles
- Airway and sleep related assessment
- One to one time with your doctor
- Review of findings and personalized recommendations
Additional services such as oral microbiome testing, an independent radiology review, or an at home sleep study may be recommended when appropriate. These services are not automatically included in the comprehensive new patient exam.
We Begin by Listening
Before we look in your mouth, we want to understand your story.
We take time to discuss your medical and dental history, sleep quality, jaw discomfort, clenching or grinding habits, previous dental experiences, and concerns you may have been carrying for years.
Many patients come to us after feeling unheard, rushed, or frustrated by temporary solutions. We believe meaningful care begins with listening.
Symptoms such as worn teeth, recurring cavities, headaches, jaw tension, poor sleep, chronic inflammation, and airway concerns are rarely random. Our philosophy centers on understanding why these patterns may be occurring, not simply treating the visible symptoms.
Your Cleaning Is Personalized Too
Professional cleanings are typically scheduled separately from the comprehensive new patient exam.
Every mouth is different. The type of cleaning and amount of time needed should be based on your individual periodontal health.
After completing your examination, your doctor will recommend the appropriate type of cleaning. Our team will then reserve the time necessary to provide thorough care without making your visit feel rushed.
This personalized approach allows us to give your oral health the time and attention it deserves
Advanced Technology With Purpose
We use advanced technology to provide more personalized, precise, and proactive care.
Our technology includes 3D CBCT imaging, digital X rays, intraoral photography, airway analysis, and artificial intelligence assisted radiograph evaluation. These tools help our doctors examine your teeth, bone levels, existing dental work, jaw joints, airway, and surrounding structures in greater detail.
Technology supports our doctors’ clinical judgment. It also gives us helpful visual tools to explain what we see and help patients better understand their oral health.
Your doctor will review the findings with you, answer your questions clearly, and explain any recommended next steps.
Patients leave their first appointment with a personalized treatment plan and a better understanding of their oral health.
