Root-cause dentistry that helps you breathe, sleep, and smile better
Dr. Penney Weeks is a biologic and airway-focused dentist who connects oral health with whole-body wellness. Her care blends gentle technique with modern diagnostics to uncover why problems happen—then fixes them in ways that last.
About Dr. Weeks
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Dr. Weeks still lives here with her husband, two sons, and family. She is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry and is known for relentlessly staying current in dental sleep medicine, physiologic dentistry, TMD care, and whole-body health. Patients and team alike call her a “CE junkie” (in the best way). They also describe her as kind, sweet, relatable, and gentle.
A fun note: her son is in dental school and will soon join the practice, continuing the family tradition.

Clear aligner expertise
Dr. Weeks plans smiles for both function and esthetics using:
- Invisalign®
- Spark™
- SureSmile®
She frequently combines aligners with gentle arch development/expansion goals to improve tongue space, support nasal breathing, and enhance long-term stability.
How she evaluates
- Airway & sleep: symptom review; at-home sleep testing interpreted by a board-certified sleep physician; re-testing to confirm improvement.
- 3D imaging (CBCT, when indicated): sinus/nasal airflow, airway volume/shape, jaw joints, and skeletal pattern (used judiciously with a low-radiation approach).
- Muscle & bite harmony: jaw-muscle comfort, joint loading, and digital bite timing/force analysis (e.g., T-Scan) to guide precise adjustments.
- Oral microbiome & inflammation: targeted testing and personalized home-care plans.
Treatment approaches you may discuss
- Oral sleep appliances (mandibular advancement) for snoring and selected sleep-disordered breathing cases—titrated and re-tested.
- Adult airway/palatal expansion to create tongue space and support nasal breathing.
- Pediatric growth guidance (e.g., “tooth pillow”/starter appliances) to encourage healthy arches and habits early.
- TMJ & bite therapy using physiologic principles for muscle comfort and joint protection.
- Clear aligners (Invisalign, Spark, SureSmile) with expansion-minded planning.
- Laser therapies include DEKA QuietNite for snoring and Solea for gentle soft-tissue and restorative applications.
- Biologic preventive care: biocompatible materials, ozone support, and personalized home plans.
